Episode 1: Intro to POV

July 21, 2018 by Amy Bisson in Introduction

Have you ever wondered about what it was like to be an educator in earlier times. Some of us have heard the stories of Dame Schools and one-room school houses, but do we really know what things were like in more recent times ?  Understanding where we've come from may clarify where we are going.

This podcast project, Point of View: An Oral History of Educators in Lowell, explores that topic. Through interviews and conversation with some of Lowell, Massachusetts' retired and not-so-retired educators, we hope to uncover and appreciate what teaching was like and whether the passage of time has changed how educators are viewed.

We hope you'll take a few minutes to listen to our podcast introduction and then subscribe to this project on your favorite podcast feed. Our goal is to post a new interview every 2 weeks.

If you have an idea for a person you'd like to hear more about, send us a message through the contact page.
