13 June: Aperol Spritz

June 14, 2020 by Amy Bisson in Cocktails

Has this cocktail really fallen out of favor? For me, an Aperol Spritz signals the start of summer. By definition a spritz is 3 parts bubbles to 1 part something else - in this case Aperol. With warm weather finally coming to New England, last night seemed a good time to break out the spritz.

A classic Aperol Spritz goes like this:

  • Fill a glass halfway with ice cube

  • Add about 3 oz. of Prosecco (or, in my case, a decent Brut Rose)

  • Add 1 oz. Aperol

  • Stir gently

  • Top with Soda water and add an orange wheel.

That’s it. Enjoy!
