Adrien Bisson, Photography

Adrien is a multifaceted portrait photographer serving the Greater Boston Area. He is based in Lowell, Massachusetts and specializes in portraits with personality.  His artful approach has graced the covers of editorial and professional publications including Merrimack Valley Magazine, Design News, CEPro and Commercial Integrator.  Adrien has a studio at Lowell's Western Avenue Studios and can be found on the web at adrienbisson.com.

Amy Bisson, Creative Director and Interviewer

Amy is a Lowell resident and retired educator who continues to be active as an advocate for public education and for the teaching profession after having taught in Lowell’s public and private schools for 30 years. Amy is a member of Lowell Education Justice Alliance and a member emeritus with National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

As a Lowell Teacher Academy staff member, Amy has created and taught elementary literacy classes. She has supervised pre-service teachers in her role as Program Supervisor for Collaborative for Educational Services. Amy writes and photographs her two personal blogs: An Educator’s Journey and Four Nights a Week. She is a contributor to UTL’s “Teacher Voice, Labor Matters” heard weekly on 980WCAP and she collaborates on United Teachers of Lowell’s “Straight Talk” podcast.

Mickie Dumont, Collaborator and Interviewer

Mickie is a resident of Lowell with deep roots. She not only was raised in Lowell, she graduated from Lowell High School and taught here in Lowell. She is the proud parent of two Lowell High school graduates and all four of her grandchildren attend Lowell Schools. Mickie has stayed active in Lowell education since her retirement from teaching through her advocacy with United Teachers of Lowell, AFT-MA where she serves as a Vice President, and Massachusetts Alliance for Retired Americans. She is a co-host of UTL’s “Teacher Voice, Labor Matters” radio program heard weekly on 980WCAP and is a collaborator on UTL’s Straight Talk Podcast. Mickie is a founding member of Lowell Education Justice Alliance (LEJA).
